- Position: BENEFITS SPECIALISTS
Description: North Shore Elder Services (NSES), in cooperation with the Massachusetts Commonwealth Corps, is seeking qualified volunteers to serve as Benefits Specialists in NSES’ Benefits Check-up Program. These are stipended positions, flexible 18 hours per week. A 12-month commitment is required. The Benefits Check up Program supports the missions of both NSES and the Massachusetts Commonwealth Corps by offering a direct service to the community that helps address the unmet need of elders, increases volunteerism, and makes life easier for elders and those who care for them. This position provides benefit screenings via an internet-based screening program for clients (elder or disabled adult) using a laptop computer and portable scanner/printer. Responsibilities include direct services with clients, volunteer generation activities (outreach, health fairs & other public forums), and civic engagement role as an ambassador of both North Shore Elder Services and the Massachusetts Commonwealth Corps. Employment benefits include a monetary stipend, completion bonus, membership in the elite state-wide Commonwealth Corps Program, statewide and in-agency training, supervision and recognition events. - Position: STATEWIDE MONEY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Description: We are seeking a full-time Statewide Coordinator for the Massachusetts Money Management Program. The Coordinator supports 25 local programs throughout the state.
Responsibilities include fund development, marketing and promotion, program evaluation, staff development, technical support, and report preparation. Works closely with statewide sponsors including Mass Home Care, AARP, and Elder Affairs.
Necessary attributes: excellent communication skills, creativity, perseverance. Experience with volunteer programs and within the banking and financial services sector highly desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must have own vehicle; extensive travel throughout Massachusetts. Main office is located in Danvers, MA; willing to consider candidates who can work from other locations in MA. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
